Eli smiles with amusement and interest, takes the star.

"You're cute. Yeah, I can do that, babe."

He levitates, floating up to the top of the tree and carefully settling the star on top. It takes a couple of tries to get it to stay up straight, but he gets it with a few small tweaks.

He then floats back down, wrapping an arm around Cas' waist and looking up to admire the star.

"There. It's really pretty. You did a good job, love." He kisses Cas on the cheek.

Cassius snuggles up into Eli's side, worms wriggling in pleased contentment. Happiness rolls off of him in waves, even more so when Eli kisses his cheek. He's done well, then. Good.

He turns his head before Eli can pull away, catching his mouth in a light kiss.

"You have done well, too, my Elijah." His nose brushes against Eli's as he bumps their foreheads together. "Thank you for indulging me so. It is... I am glad that I have you to spend this holiday with."

He kisses Cas back, more firmly, his eyes falling shut in contentment as his partner's happiness washes over him.

"Any time, baby. I'm so glad to have you, too." He runs his fingers through Cas' hair. He's never had a Christmas before, but this will do nicely as his first. He'd much rather spend it with Cas than any of his blood family back home, anyway.

Eli then makes them some hot chocolate, and they lounge by the fire, cuddling and drinking and kissing looking at their beautiful tree. Maybe later they even fuck. The end.
